Letter of application

19th October 2008

Dear Sir John Marshall:
I am e-mailing you in response to the advertisement that you post on the site JobSearch.uk.com, for the position of House Officer in Surgery. In annex I am sending you my curriculum vitae.
I have just finished my college degree in General Surgery and need to decide what specialty to chose, so I believe that working with you will help me make my decision.
I worked has a volunteer on the ONG “Médicos do mundo”, so I have some experience in facing pressure and not cracking under it, what I believe is a major quality when you want to become a surgeon.
At the moment I’m not living in the U.K., but I’m available to move there at any time. I lived for a year in London on my 3rd year at college as an Erasmus student so I’m aware of the British way of life.
Please do not hesitate in contact me to any further details.

Yours faithfully
Clara Matos
